RELIABLE BACKUP ENERGY
In the field of telecommunications, batteries are used to provide reliable back-up energy for the voice and data transmission equipment, cellular and landline phone systems and relay stations, transmission systems, signal repeaters, transmissions via cable, etc. The modern telecom power supply systems normally require 48V or 60V back-up power source, in most cases implemented with 12V serially connected monoblocks having the required capacity.
When a higher capacity is needed, battery strings connected in parallel should be used. The parallel string solution is often recommended by the equipment manufacturers, due to its advantages.
