TRAINING
Training programmes are designed and developed in consultation with you because they need to be responsive to your needs. We believe that effectively trained personnel can make the difference between a mediocre business and a great business. That’s why we
favor a pragmatic rather than an academic approach. And that’s why our virtual faculty uses a team of local and international alliance partners that represents many decades of accumulated practical knowledge in the fields of telecommunications, electronic engineering, networking, medical electronics and professional metrology.
We are proud to have some of South Africa’s top metrologists and technologists who will share their practical knowledge with your personnel with the aim of helping them
realize their full potential in their current tasks. This, in turn, leads to better job satisfaction and a greater degree of efficiency through improved knowledge and the taking of responsibility.
In order to survive profitably today, your company needs more than trained staff. It needs competent staff. And that means people that are not only fully conversant with the technologies that they have to master but who can also make significant contributions to the broader business landscape in which you operate. That’s why conventional training/education now plays a decreasing role in evolving business plans within technological environments. And that’s also why successful business initiatives can only be sustained by developing perspectives that deal with the business and technological environment in an integrated way.
Competent people are the primary and most valuable resource of any
organization. They alone are responsible for its success or failure – at all levels. Productivity, profitability, competitiveness service and product excellence are all in the hands of people who enjoy success and who should be given every opportunity of achieving their goals.
We have three groups of training courses:
General test equipment courses
These deal with the effective operation of analogue and digital oscilloscopes, communications monitors, frequency counters, multimeters, signal generators, spectrum
analyzers, RF measuring devices as well as antenna and transmission line
analyzers.
Telecommunications test equipment courses
These courses are more equipment-specific and deal with such units as our own E1 Grooming Multiplexer, the Tektronix K1205/97 protocol
analyzer and Bird antenna testers to name a few.
Specialised courses
This series of courses address technologies in use today and take both an overview and in-depth look at such subjects as digital cellular networks, WAN/LAN principles, transmission principles (PCM, PDH, SDH, ATM), digital core network switching principles (CCS7), digital access protocols (ISDN,V52), radio access protocols (A interface/ Abis, Mobis), TCP/IP, Voice over IP, GPRS, UMTS, intelligent networks as well as antenna and transmission line analysers. |
